Do you know where Blue Ridge, Georgia is?  Blue Ridge, Georgia is located in the northern part of Georgia in Fannin County.  Blue Ridge, GA has been gifted the beauty of being surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains.  With the Blue Ridge Mountains surrounding Blue Ridge, many outdoor activities are available for nature lovers alike.  Blue Ridge offers many Hiking Trails, Biking Trails, Waterfalls, Fishing areas, and Lake Blue Ridge for the Boating enthusiasts and Jet Skiers.  Toccoa River and Ocoee River are great for Whitewater Rafting, Kayaking, Tubing and Fly Fishing.  The Blue Ridge area lends itself to being the perfect area for Horseback Riding also.  The Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad has fantastic train rides through the mountain range that shows off the beauty of the mountainside. 

The Blue Ridge Mountains are not only in Georgia, but also Western South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania.  The Blue Ridge Province is a geographical area that contains other mountain ranges which extends from Pennsylvania to Georgia, including the states of West Virginia and Tennessee which those that hold the geological Blue Ridge.  Ranges of the Blue Ridge Province are:  Blue Ridge, Cowee, Cohuttas, Pisgahs, Shenandoahs, Smokies, Unicoi, and Unakas.  Within the Blue Ridge province, there are two National Parks: the Shenandoah in the northern section and the Great Smoky Mountains in the southern section. The Blue Ridge also contains the Blue Ridge Parkway, a 469-mile long scenic highway that connects the two parks and is located along the ridge crestlines along the Appalachian Trail.  The Highest mountain top of the Blue Ridge Mountains is Mount Mitchell, in North Carolina, at 6,684' above sea level.
