Left: Brasstown Bald can be seen from miles away. Brasstown Bald is the highest mountain in Georgia at 4,784 above sea level. You can see the Brasstown Bald Visitor Center & Tower on the 2nd mountain top from the right. You are seeing part of the Southern Tree Plantation on the bottom of this photo, which is off of Owl Town Road.
Middle: This is the Brasstown Bald Tower. You would take the stairs that leads to the top to get the birds-eye view. You will really be on top of the world up here! You can take great photos, on a clear day, at the bottom part.

Left: Unbelievable is the word I use to describe the layers & layers of mountains you see from atop Brasstown Bald.
Middle: You can see Lake Hiawassee from Brasstown Bald. This was taken the 2nd week of October.
Left: This is the beautiful mountain snow scene we saw driving into the Fannin Convenience Center. Even recycling has extra benefits! We have Garbage Service every Monday at our cabins, but wanted to recycle our items, so we brought them to the Convenience Center.
Middle: Visit Mercier Orchards for their fresh baked pastries, sandwiches, apples, apple cider, candy, souvenirs, specialty coffee, books a lot more.

Left: This gapping hole is the remains of the Burra Burra mine, where people used to mine for Copper. Part of the Burra Burra Mine collapsed and created this huge hole. You can visit the Ducktown Basin Museum to learn about the Burra Burra Mine.
Middle: A view overlooking the Mountains and the old Ducktown Basin of the Burra Burra Mine. At the Ducktown Basin Museum, you can learn all about the history of this area and the copper mining that left its mark.
Left: Dahlonega, Georgia has beautiful mountains also. We found this scenic beauty off a side road.
Middle: Our 3 boys & their grandfather, were panning for gold at the Crisson Gold Mine in Cleveland, GA. Cleveland GA is 15 minutes East of Dahlonega. There are other Gold Panning Places in Dahlonega also.

Left: Lake Blue Ridge is great for the beautiful mountain scenery, fishing, swimming, pontoon rentals, jet skis, and boating. Two of my sons wanted to see how the fishing was. You can rent boats & pontoons from Lake Blue Ridge Marina and Jet Skiis from Blue Ridge Jet Ski Rentals.
Middle: Photo taken of Lake Blue Ridge, from Aska Road, during the summer of 2007. The North Georgia Mountains experienced one of the worst droughts in history. 2008 has already been blessed with a good amount of rain, and hopefully 2008 will not be a repeat. Such gorgeous mountains! Look at all of those layers!
