Directions coming from the cabins: Take SR-515 East in Blue Ridge, make a right onto McKinney Road, Make a left onto Memorial Highway, Make a right onto Marina Drive or take 515 East Windy Ridge Road (Conoco station & Kentucky Fried Chicken) go to flashing red light turn left, follow Old Hwy 76 to the Marina.  706-632-2618 Approximately 15-20 minutes from our cabin rentals.

FISHING

Toccoa River Station - On the Toccoa River.  Deck to fish off of, boat ramp to wade in for fishing, small playground, picnic tables, rest rooms, benches.  Approximately 5 minutes from our cabin rentals.

Horseshoe Bend Park - Toccoa River is alongside the entire park.  Gazebo, pavillions, picnic tables, BBQ grills, baseball field, playground, benches, and rest rooms.  Approximately 10 minutes from our cabin rentals.

Chattahoochee Forest National Fish Hatchery - Visit the Fish Hatchery and see over 800,000+ trout of all sizes.  These trout are distributed by truck for stocking of lakes, streams, reservoirs throughout North Georgia.  The Fish Hatchery is very interesting to see.  You can even bring your pole and fish right over the bridge (this is not in the same area where the fish are kept, darn it!). Fly-tying and casting demonstrations, educational exhibits and plenty of fish to catch in Rock Creek.  Off of Highway 60 South.  Keep driving till you see their sign.  Call (706) 838-4723 for more information.  This is approximately 40 minutes from the cabin, but the trip is worth it.  

Rock Creek - Chattahoochee Forest National Fish Hatchery is located on Rock Creek.  The Fish Hatchery stocks Rock Creek with their trout.  You will see Rock Creek before you enter the Chattahoochee Forest National Fish Hatchery along side the road.

Shallowford Bridge - Take Aska Road.  Park on the dirt road by the bridge.

Cooper's Creek: Between Morganton and Dahlonega Off of Hwy. 60 South.   Stocked and Wild Trout make for good fishing in Cooper Creek and Mulky Creek.  Take Highway 76 east to Morganton, then turn right on Hwy. 60 South, drive 16 miles. Turn left on Forest Service Road and drive for 4 to 6 miles.

Below Huck's General Store in Blue Ridge, you can visit Huck's Gem Mine and sift through buckets of mined dirt.  You might get lucky and find some amethysts, emeralds, quartz and other semi-precious rocks.  When you done grubbing, you can play a few holes of miniature golf in the cool air-conditioning. Swan Drive-in Movie Theatre - 651 Summit Street, Blue Ridge Georgia. The Swan is equipped with FM Stereo Sound.  Just tune your car radio to 105.5 FM.  Portable radios work also.  Built in 1955, the Swan Drive In Theatre has been providing old-time fun for over 50 years. The Swan Drive In Movie Theatre is 1 of 5 still operating in the state of Georgia.  There is a Double Feature every Friday & Saturday.  You can enjoy a movie outside under the stars or in the privacy of your car. Don't worry about crying babies or non-smoking areas, you can relax and enjoy yourself. The Swan prides itself on being a family oriented theatre and has a zero tolerance for bad conduct so come on out and enjoy a movie. We have a full concession. Ducktown Basin Museum is located on the historic Burra Burra Mine site.  Discover the Copper Basin in the Ducktown Museum. Hear and see how the Burra Burra Mine & Copper Basin came to be and what has happened to it throughout the years. An Educational Movie is available that describes how the Copper Basin affected the lives of the local residents, the environment & local economy. Brasstown Bald -  Georgia's highest mountain at 4,784 feet above sea level.  You can see four states from the observation deck area: Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina. There is a Visitor Information Center, located on the summit of the Bald, offers exhibits, video presentations and interpretive programs.  Park your vehicle and either hike up to the summit of Brasstown Bald if you are physically fit, or pay $2 a person and take the shuttle van up the 1/2 mile stretch.  4 Hiking Trails are available. 1881 Highway 515, Blairsville, GA 30512, Brasstown Bald Visitor Information Center 706 896-2556. Pappy's River Walk - off of 129/19 South in Blairsville GA.  Pappy's River Walk has a lot of country stores with unique items for sale, food, fudge, popcorn, and a restaurant that has loads of fish you can feed outside the back porch. Approximately 40-45 minutes from our cabin.

Morganton Point is a recreation area on a 3,290 acre lake.  Morganton Point offers camping, picnicking, boating, fishing, hiking and swimming.  Directions:  Take U.S. 515 north from Blue Ridge for 4 miles to GA 60; turn right (southwest) and go 3 miles to Morganton.
